The most technically advanced world cup to date deserved a technical typeface. With data-informed design on athletes bodies, I wanted to develop a typeface that would reflect tech and the future of football. The result is Nike WC22. A display typeface that incorporates elements from Nike’s 2022 Match adv Knit jersey. Used for internal branding and adorning the backs of players as the branded name + number typeface on pitch.
