Nike Naija 2.0 Collection
Coming off the heels of the 2018 Naija kit that shook the football world, there were big shoes to fill. The key to success was lay in one word “Authenticity”.
To tell the story of Nigerian culture through the lense of football we met with Metallic inc. to get a deep dive lesson on all things Nigeria. We met with local Nigerians to talk about what was important to them. And most importantly we ate a lot of jollof rice.

A Flag for a nation
A modern take on traditional agbada—the bold pattern borrows symbols that would adorn the robes of tribal leaders. Stepping back the green-white-green print recreates the flag of Nigeria.

Onaism
The Nigerian art of storytelling through symbols and indigo dye. The ribs of the away kit are adorned with fractal eagle feathers alluding to this practice and the nickname of the federation, the “super eagles”

Collection
The lifestyle collection pays tribute to Nigerian youth culture through the use of traditional elements in a non-traditional way. Most notable the appearance of a custom ankara fabric.
